I met Courtney & Patrick in Denton just after the ice started to melt in February. Since their wedding day is coming up this fall, I wanted to share a little bit from their engagement session. Our plan was to pretty much just walk around the Denton Square and find some cool spots, and I love the shots we ended up with! We went to a few bars and alleyways that they like to hang out at, then ended up at the courthouse for some classic photo opps.
Alternative locations are some of my favorites; it’s awesome when couples trust me to capture them in their element! Below are a few highlights from their session.
What I learn about you during your engagement session helps me photograph you better on your wedding day.
I love getting the chance to meet couples before their wedding day; it’s one of the best parts of adding an engagement session to your wedding package! Having the opportunity to work together before your wedding can make a huge difference in not only your final photos, but the overall experience of your wedding day. It helps me figure out what kind of poses and prompts work for you and your fiancé and, more importantly, what to avoid. Some people really hate kissing in front of other people, which can be an awkward thing to find out as you’re walking out of your ceremony all happy and I make it weird by gesturing, “KISS!” Meeting beforehand can keep everyone feeling comfortable and lets me direct your photos in an efficient and natural way.
When you add an engagement session to your wedding package it looks like:
– a one-hour session within DFW
– a bundled (aka: discounted) rate with your wedding photography
– a minimum of 40 edited high-res images delivered within four weeks
– extra communication about your style, interests, and location preferences so I get a better idea of who you are and how to serve you!
