Hi, there!
First off, if you’ve been here before you may have noticed I’ve got a whole new website. It’s pretty great, right? I had a ton of help with Lauren at Morning Cup of Media, the go-to website and branding expert (in my opinion, anyway.) I’m really excited about this upgrade and to have a more efficient platform to serve you all with!
So, let’s get to the good stuff!
I wanted to share some highlights from the Cangelosis’ beautiful spring wedding at Avalon Legacy Ranch in McKinney, TX. This is one of my favorite venues to shoot at in DFW – there’s a photo opp at every turn and their team is always wonderful. I was so glad that Chelsea & John chose to have their wedding day there, we were also able to take their engagement photos at the venue, which you can see more of here.

Chelsea got ready upstairs in the bright, open bridal suite while John entertained incoming guests downstairs. Chelsea got into her dress and had an emotional first look with her dad (I love the black and white shots from this!), then we all headed downstairs to get them married! The chapel is set at the end of a long path in a clearing surrounded by trees. John waited in front of the colorful stained glass as Chelsea walked down the aisle to exchange their vows in front of friends and family.

You may not know this about me yet, but I love wedding receptions. They may be may favorite part. I do have a soft spot for getting-ready details, and the giant smile on your faces as you walk down the aisle as a married couple for the first time… But I just love the energy that comes from a good reception where everybody’s enjoying themselves, the DJ is rocking a great playlist, and all your hard work planning this thing is paying off.
