I absolutely loved shooting these classic bridal portraits with a twist. If you can’t tell, we had a really good time! We shot in an open natural-light space at The TX Studio. It was perfect for some beautiful, soft light bridal portraits before getting creative. I brought the disco ball along to try something new, not knowing if B would be down for it or not. When I pitched the idea to her and her mom, they both got SO excited – they’re big ABBA fans! We spent the rest of the session jamming to the Mamma Mia! soundtrack.
Bridal portraits are some of my favorites to do. Not only is every detail beautiful, but you get to put a fun spin on your wedding attire. You can try a different hairstyle, jewelry, or an accessory you love but don’t want to have to keep up with on your wedding day.
If you’re caught between two wedding day looks, this is a great option to let a little personality shine through. I personally love a leather jacket and french braid moment – the rock ‘n’ roll bride look – but wanted something a little more classic on my wedding day. Bridal portraits would’ve been the perfect thing to do! I was already paying for the dress, so why not live it up?
I’m still taking some 2022 weddings, but not many! My 2023 wedding calendar is open, and you should inquire now because I’ll be updating my pricing in a few weeks and this will be the last chance to book me at this rate!
All of my packages include an engagement OR bridal session (like this awesome one you just read about!), timeline assistance, vendor recommendations, sneak peeks, and your gallery of edited images delivered within eight weeks.
Are you a disco-inspired bride, too?
