I think it’s no secret that elopements are on the rise. With inflation and the rising cost of literally everything, more and more couples are choosing to ditch the traditional ceremony and elope or host a microwedding instead. As someone who got engaged during Covid and wanted to buy a house eventually, I did the same thing and can totally relate. My husband and I got married in a private ceremony – just the two of us – and it was a romantic, perfect day. I love that this is becoming a more normalized thing, and people are making their wedding day their own instead of feeling pressured to spend their savings on something they don’t 100% want.

Elopements give you the chance to make the entire day about you and your partner. You have complete control over the guest list – or if you even want one! No pressure to invite people you haven’t spoken to in years or random people from your mom’s work.
You’ll have a bigger budget to focus on things important to you. Use it to take yourselves out for a nice dinner to celebrate after hitting the courthouse, or splurge on a great photographer to capture your day.
DFW Elopement Packages
I offer elopement packages that are perfect for a courthouse wedding or small ceremony. (I actually designed this package around courthouse weddings in Fort Worth!) You’ll get an hour and a half of elopement coverage, which will capture your ceremony, photos with any guests you may have attending, and a portrait session of you and your partner as newlyweds. Packages are totally customizable, so there’s always the option to add on more time if you need it. I also offer fun extras like Polaroids and lush wedding albums.
